Nayland Choir

Choral music for the Stour Valley villages

About

PHOTO-6

We’re a friendly choir that has been making music in south Suffolk since 1994. There are just over 40 of us, split between soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices – but we’re always looking out for new talent and we don’t require an audition. We have a varied repertoire: formal choral productions, light opera, folk songs, modern music and carols.

Our autumn / winter concert “Airs for Armistice”, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War was very successful.  A decent sized audience enjoyed the lovely – and often moving programme (though the church was pretty cold).

Next up is a fun evening of Carols and Christmas songs in The Anchor pub at 9.00pm on Thursday 20th December, then the Carol Service in St James’ Church at 6.30pm on Sunday 23rd December.

Our musical director is Emma Bishton.
