Out of lockdown

At last, it appears we will soon be able to get together as real human beings to once again enjoy the lovely activity of choral singing. This will be a legal activity from 17th May and our first proposed rehearsal is on Thursday 20th May. We are not going to prepare for a formal concert this term. This is to allow everyone to get back into singing and to make it as easy as possible for people to come and sing with us for the first time.

It will be a ten week term of informal sessions at 8.00pm on Thursday evenings, hopefully in our usual venue of Nayland school hall but this is not yet finally confirmed.

Folk songs and sea shanties will be the sort of things we will sing this term so that it does not become too taxing. And although there will not be a formal concert, we will probably arrange something informal in the village later in the term.

Then the plan is to work towards a formal choral concert in the autumn term.

As we said – all welcome. Do come and have a good sing!
