We have now started rehearsals for our summer concert. As always, our musical director, Emma Bishton, has put together an excellent programme of music, this time a celebration of flowers in song. The music covers a wide range of genres and composers: romantic part songs by Elgar and Finzi, folk songs from across the British Isles, songs by modern composers Bullard, Chilcott, Quartel & Gjeilo and songs from stage and screen, from Novello to Disney.
The concert will be held in the village hall and will be preceded by a light supper, included in the ticket price, and with a bar available. Doors and bar will open at 6.30 pm with supper served at 7.00 pm and the concert starting at 7.30 pm. Tickets will be available from nayland.org from the beginning of May and will cost £18.00 (£5.00 for under 18s.)
Look out for our posters soon!
