Sound the trumpet!

This term we return to classical repertoire, but for the first time we will be joined for our autumn concert on 30th November by a brass ensemble, we will perform John Rutter’s “Gloria”, Schutz’ “Jubilate”, Will Todd’s “The Call of Wisdom” and Bruckner motets. This is music that is in turn exciting, lively, and sonorous.  Rehearsals have progressed well and a lovely sound will be delivered on the night.  With brass, percussion and organ accompaniment, this will be a concert not to be missed.

The concert is in St James’ Church Nayland on Saturday 30th November at 7.00pm.  Tickets are £10 each (under 16s free) and are available from any choir member or at Nayland Post Office, or call 07954 334548.  They will also be available at the door, but please buy in advance if you can as it helps to know numbers – even if only to plan how much mulled wine to provide!
