Midsummer Cabaret

Our new format summer concert was a lovely event.  Instead of the lunchtime barbecue of recent years, this was an evening cabaret with food and wine.  The village hall was decorated and laid out to provide a jazz club atmosphere and as always, choir members provided excellent refreshments, this time in the form of a cheese ploughman’s and fresh strawberries and cream.

Music from Cabaret, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Fiddler on the Roof and other favourites was enjoyed by both the choir and the audience and this time we were supported and accompanied by an excellent saxophone quartet.
